The world is big and I am small, but when I stake out a big promise, or commitment, my size increases. I realize that yes the world is big, but I am the measure of units.
I do not need to be equal to the world, but the world will respond to me at the level that I am playing. If I play small, the world gives a small response. If I play bigger, the world gives a bigger response. And, my capacity to be bigger expands with each stretch of my efforts.
If I fail so what... because that is not the point. Expanding the scale of the battle with the angel is just the expansion of the scale of my life. It is the reason that they are here, to struggle with us! Jacob's ladder can only be climbed by someone with battle scars.
